Integrative Counselling in County Durham and Online

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Andrew Fleming Counselling & Psychotherapy.

I know that life can be tough sometimes, and it's easy to feel like you're drowning in a sea of emotions. I've been there too. It's okay not to be okay and more than okay to reach out for help. It’s brave. Just by being here and reading this, you've taken a huge step towards healing and growth.

I’m Andrew, and I'm here to listen, understand, and support you in any way I can. As an integrative counsellor, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Everyone's story is unique, and what works for one person might not work for another. I'll work with you to create a personalised counselling experience that fits your specific needs and goals. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or just feeling a bit lost, we'll tackle it together.

I know that life can be hectic, and sometimes, it's hard to find the time or energy to take care of yourself. That's why I offer online and telephone counselling throughout the UK. Whether you're looking for a short-term solution or a longer journey of self-discovery, I'm here for you. We can work together to create a schedule that fits your life and your needs.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues, but I've developed a particular expertise in a few areas. If you're struggling with grief and loss or coping with a terminal illness, I'm here to support you through those difficult times. I'm dedicated to supporting the LGBT+ community and creating a safe, affirming space for individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations. And if you're dealing with trauma, phobias, extreme anxiety, or PTSD, I'm trained in the Rewind technique, which can help you find relief and healing.

So, get in contact if you're ready to take the next step and start exploring your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgmental space. I'm here to listen, support you, and help you find the strength and resilience that I know you have within you.

Online and Telephone Counselling

Online and telephone counselling offers a more convenient and accessible alternative to traditional face-to-face therapy. With these options, you can connect with me from the comfort of your own home or any private space that suits you best. Online and telephone counselling eliminates the need to worry about travel, parking, or scheduling conflicts, making it easier for you to prioritise your mental health and well-being.

Online and telephone counselling can be particularly beneficial if you have mobility issues, social anxiety, or live in a remote area. These methods ensure everyone can access the support they need, regardless of their circumstances.

Research shows that online counselling can be equally as effective as face-to-face. Many people feel more at ease and open to sharing when they are in a familiar environment. We will still be able to develop a strong therapeutic relationship, and I will be fully present to support you throughout your journey.

If you're considering counselling but have concerns about in-person sessions, online or telephone counselling could be the perfect solution for you.

How Counselling Can Help You

A Safe Space

Counselling is a collaborative process that offers you a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. As your counsellor, I will support you through this journey of self-discovery, helping you gain fresh perspectives and develop greater self-awareness.

Working Together

Together, we will work to uncover the inner strengths and resources you already possess, empowering you to navigate life's challenges with increased resilience. Through our sessions, you will learn and cultivate coping tools tailored to your unique needs, enabling you to manage difficult emotions and situations more effectively.

A Deeper Understanding

Remember, you are the expert of your own life. My role is to support you in identifying and achieving your goals while providing a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings freely. As we collaborate, you will develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences, fostering personal growth and positive change.
